Based on the non-stretched wheelbase chassis of the E-Class sedan, the All Terrain combines the luxury of the sedan with surprisingly good off-road ability. The E-Class All-Terrain won't be a unique offering in the country, the Volvo V90 Cross Country was here first, but that does not make it any less unique. Mercedes-Benz India has decided to offer the E-Class All Terrain with the less powerful 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbo-diesel which is also found under the hood of the sedan, instead of the fire-breathing 3.0-litre V6 petrol which can also be found under its hood in other countries. This BSVI-compliant engine develops 194PS of maximum power and 400Nm of peak torque, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission it can accelerate from 0-100kmph in a respectable 8.0-seconds.
